“Musicians inherently understand marketing,” says founding principal Mark Morse, a drummer who leans toward jazz fusion. “Music is both analytical and creative, and successful marketing involves both the analytical and creative process.”

Morsekode’s 15-person team combines its musical interest with seasoned marketing and creative expertise. Musical instruments sit alongside computer stations, and the occasional impromptu jam session energizes the air.

With a large-agency marketing background, Morse has taken his passion for music and translated it into a client-focused marketing business serving the healthcare, technology, music and retail industries. Most recently, Morsekode successfully re-branded MN AMA.

“Clients come to us for a fresh perspective,” he says. “We work with them to deliver unique visual solutions—whether through public relations, interactive or advertising—that are ideally tailored to achieve their business objectives.”

In a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team environment, Morsekode engages its clients in an exploratory process called The Brand Groove™ to understand their goals, objectives and business models—their brand. Through fact-finding sessions and intensive market-research studies, the agency composes creative, market-tested solutions that help clients approach their business strategies with renewed energy.

“Our goal is to grow the client’s business,” Morse says. “We make clients aware that their objective is our objective—whether that objective is to increase sales, gain market share, transform a corporate identity, or increase public awareness.”
